KGW is a casual and luxury ready-to-wear brand by Kate Wendelborn. Kate’s perspective draws upon the spirit of modern day physical adventure and activity by building a wardrobe upon versatile and wearable styles without neglecting the fun and individuality of getting dressed everyday.

The collection is conceived in an intimate studio space in New York where Kate sketches, knits swatches and makes prototypes on her JUKI sewing machine. Garments are designed and constructed with high quality and inspired materials that reflect the idea of buying items that will last and get better with age. These are clothes to move, work and be comfortable in, while presenting a motivated, open minded and elevated perspective.

KGW silhouettes speak to both comfort and action, while materials range from technical sport fabrics for true pant-style leggings, cut and sew staples like tee shirts and delicate body-con pieces, soft and chunky machine knits made from recycled cashmere blends, and treasured hand-painted yarns and techniques found in oversized ‘blanket sweaters’ and accessories. The interesting color combinations in easy, yet directional, proportions will blend into many personalities and body types. Anchored in wearability and an imaginative spirit, the collection is informed by collective experiences past, present, and future.
